8 to 9 day deep Guizhou village route
Guiyang -> Huangguoshu -> Kaili markets -> Zhenyuan -> Zhaoxing / Tang'an terraces
A deeper Guizhou culture route that uses extra days for markets, old towns, village nights, and terraces instead of just adding more road.

Day by day, matched to the route family.
The route below keeps the conversion promise clear. Confirm gateway timing, realistic transfers, comfort level, and which optional extension truly belongs before the route is fixed.
Arrive in Guiyang and recover near food and next-day road access. Keep the evening to a soft local-food introduction and route briefing. Choose the hotel base first, then use only a light nearby walk or meal so arrival fatigue does not damage the next full day.
Visit the Huangguoshu or Anshun waterfall system with enough time for walking, rain gear, and crowd management. Overnight by the next transfer plan and avoid adding a far village after the waterfall day.
Move toward Kaili and match the first Miao stop to the traveler: performance, architecture, crafts, market, or quieter local life. Arrive early enough for evening texture.
Use Kaili-area depth for a market date, craft visit, village walk, or festival logic. The day earns value by staying longer, not by adding three more road stops.
Add Zhenyuan only if the river-town evening gives the route a different mood from the villages. If it creates too much road pressure, keep another Kaili or village day instead.
Move to Zhaoxing with rail and road timing controlled. Protect the Dong village evening around drum towers, wind-rain bridges, lanes, and a slower dinner.
Spend the day in Zhaoxing and Tang'an. Choose terrace viewpoints, village walking, craft layers, or a short hike by weather, season, and group fitness.
Use this as a repair or return-positioning day for a missed market, extra Zhaoxing time, a more comfortable road transfer, or an earlier return toward Guiyang. Keep the morning close to the hotel, station, or airport, and add only one nearby stop if the transfer time is already secure.
Depart from Guiyang with simple airport or rail timing. If another village feels necessary, the route should be extended instead of hidden in departure day.
