2 day Xiamen and Gulangyu short-stay route
Xiamen -> Gulangyu -> South Putuo / old city -> Xiamen departure
A short coastal route for travelers using Xiamen as an inbound stop. It protects one real Gulangyu window and keeps South Putuo, food streets, and old-city texture flexible around the ferry and departure clock.

Day by day, matched to the route family.
The route below keeps the conversion promise clear. Confirm gateway timing, realistic transfers, comfort level, and which optional extension truly belongs before the route is fixed.
Arrive in Xiamen and stay on Xiamen Island. If arrival is early enough, use Zhongshan Road, the old arcade streets, or a simple seafood dinner as a soft coastal opening; if arrival is late, protect hotel check-in and the next morning ferry.
Protect Gulangyu first: take the morning ferry, walk Longtou Road and the villa lanes, add Shuzhuang Garden, Piano Museum, or Sunlight Rock by walking comfort, then use South Putuo, Shapowei, or old-city food only if luggage and departure timing are safe.
Photos are grouped by day and tied to one visible place.
